While shopping for household items, I came across a captivating book detailing the life of Madame Coco Chanel💕. Impressed by the content, I requested my Son to purchase it while I attended to other errands.
What drew me to the book initially was its artful and whimsical design, coupled and the captivating
Title: “Coco Chanel – The Illustrated World Of A Fashion Icon.”
Written by Megan Hess, the book offers illustrations reminiscent of comic art, and promised an engaging read.
Icon Vs Influencer – what’s the difference?
I am immediately captivated also by Megan Hess’ dedication of the book to her grandmother, a woman she likened to possessing the iconic traits of Madame Chanel. This reinforces my belief that true iconic status transcends mere fame or popularity; it is characterized by enduring influence and impact.
More to the point, each person is writing their iconic story, in every facet of life. Whether in private as it was for Megan’s grandmother, or in the limelight as was the case with Madame Chanel – each story is as important with the potential to be Transformative and impactful.
Furthermore, my deep affinity for the French language, Parisian culture, and exquisite French cuisine only serves to pique my interests. Any literature detailing the legacy of Iconic Brands such as Madame Chanel, and her profound impact on global style, makes an interesting read for me, and captures my attention.
Madame Chanel as it turns out used Fashion to pass across many great ideologies; her rag to riches story, the tragedy of the loss of her Mother, and the early struggles of childhood, marked by also by the abandonment by her Father; and her time spent in an orphanage as a result helped to set the tone for the phenomenal success accredited to the Coco Chanel the Woman, and the House of Chanel Brand!

Like Madame Chanel, as we navigate through life’s complexities, we often encounter defining moments that shape our identities – the point here is that without those moments, we are not enriched and will have nothing to offer the World.
One of life’s best secrets therefore as I have found in my journey so far, is that challenges are sent our way to refine/mould us; in essence as a result of challenges we become a better version of ourselves– the story of Coco Chanel is a case in point.
Consequently, for me, an Icon is any person driven by the motivation to persist in their ideas or concepts towards making a positive, and lasting impact in the domains of life.
Thinking about the profound impact of influencing even a single individual with one’s ideas, one realizes the potential to shape and empower entire generations remains a really motivating thought to me.

I anticipate that this book will offer me a delightful treat, when taking a break from my usual work of strategizing with/for the myriad of iconic figures I encounter daily in my line of business.
I do not take for granted the fact that each day brings forth new opportunities in my multifaceted professional environment, adding depth and variety to my experiences as I journey along.
